Charles enjoyed a long career in local government before starting work with the country’s leading leisure social enterprise where he heads up Corporate Communications.

He has enjoyed a long association with Islington since his university days and maintains a strong interest in volunteering, social justice and raising social value in the workplace and local communities.

His interest in Forum + began when he answered a call to be a trustee for its predecessor (The Camden & Islington LGBT Forum) in 2016, leading on media relations and publicity.

As Chair, he leads the Board of Trustees and provides expert advice on Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Client Relations.  

Charles enjoys travel, arts and culture.  He has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, appeared in the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and performed with the LSO Community Choir, directed by Sir Simon Rattle.
