forum+ is proud to join with our friends at St Luke’s Community Centre for Cooking With Pride. At the cookery class and social support group we learn culinary skills and enjoy a delicious meal together. We have fantastic fun in the kitchen at St Luke’s and it’s amazing to have the opportunity to learn how to cook low-budget, nutritious meals. At our April class we’ll be cooking and enjoying West African Peanut Stew and Fufu with Sweet Thikary for dessert. Allergens: peanuts, soy, celery, gluten and dairy. Pre-booking is essential (no walks-in accepted) and our April class is almost fully booked. You may book your place or join the waiting list via the booking page at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cooking-with-pride-tickets-1984773287331
The cookery class and social first took place in LGBT History Month 2020 and has been held at St Luke’s regularly since Pride Month 2022. Cooking With Pride is a warm, welcoming and inclusive social support group where we join together to learn recipes and enjoy a delicious meal. At each event there is a focus on a different cuisine and there have been special cultural celebrations e.g. Irish food enjoyed for St Patrick’s Day and Indian cuisine showcased on Diwali.
