forum+ is seeking a Community Engagement Officer whose role will be to design and deliver community consultations, conversations and workshops. The Community Engagement Officer will conduct research to assess the needs of the local LGBT community and deliver forum+ training and LGBT awareness sessions for local LGBT residents, businesses, voluntary and statutory organisations.

This exciting and highly rewarding new role will be an opportunity to support local LGBT residents by planning and coordinating engagement opportunities. Community conversations and consultations inform the work of forum+ and we are seeking someone who will actively pursue tasks, research and create workshops that will generate community insights and understanding of community expectations, needs and interests.

Job Description: Community Engagement Officer

Responsible to: forum+ Director

Hours: 28 hours over 4 days per week with occasional evening and weekend work

Salary: £29000 pro rata

Location: 54 Chalton Street, London NW1 1HS with remote working

Contract Type: Fixed Term for twelve months with the possibility for extension

Probationary Period: The post is subject to a three-month probationary period

Holidays: 28 days pro rata plus public holidays

Pension: All staff are eligible to join a pension scheme immediately upon appointment

Professional Development: Continuous Professional Development is actively encouraged and training opportunities explored
