forum+ is excitedly preparing for LGBT History Month and we can’t wait to share a fantastic programme celebrating local LGBT culture, heritage and history. The programme for Camden & Islington LGBT History Month 2026 will feature over thirty events with a great diversity of subjects and voices represented. There will be craft workshops, discussions, exhibitions, film screenings, guided walks, plays, performances, talks and much more to enjoy!

On Sunday 1st February the festivities get off to a super start with 50+ Years of Islington LGBT History Guided Walk and a fantastic finale awaits on Saturday 28th with a Sassify Zine Workshop! We’ve also got LGBT History Month Community Event at the British Museum, Collections Corner at the British Library and Polari Workshop!
Islington LGBT History Guided Walk
Get LGBT History Month off to a super start by joining a guided walk on 50+ Years of Islington LGBT History!
Sunday 1st February 2 pm – 3.30 pm
LGBT History Month Workshop – Polari, the Secret Queer Language
Join our interactive Polari Workshop, taught by Dan de la Motte, and learn the ‘rules’ of the language, decipher words and phrases, and make up your own sentences and mini-scenes for others to work out!

LGBT History Month Community Event at The British Museum
Enjoy a day long, community focused event marking LGBT History Month. Choose from a number of engaging activities including talks, tours, workshops and more!

LGBT History Month Collections Corner at The British Library
Discover Local LGBT History in The British Library’s Collections Explore fascinating items including historical newspapers and published works, and uncover the rich, impactful history of Camden and Islington’s LGBT community.

LGBT History Month Zine Workshop
Celebrate LGBT History Month at a Zine Workshop and social with forum+ in collaboration with Sassify Zine. Learn about zines and zine history before having a go at creating your own unique artwork.
