Perfect Imperfection Private View
Join forum+ at the private view and launch of Perfect Imperfection – Icons of London, the exciting new exhibition celebrating the fallible, beautiful nature of being human. The exhibition includes a number of queer icons who have shaped London, including George Michael, whose portrait sits in conversation with Hampstead Heath. Enjoy exploring the work of artist Nicholas a. Ferguson, who looks at the theme through personal experience and offers an antidote to a culture focused on apparent perfection, void of nuance. Our friends at Camden Town Women FC have invited forum+ to enjoy fantastic live women’s football completely free! The team has made an incredible start to the season, winning all seven of their opening league matches. Proudly embodying the spirit of Camden they’re hoping their close-knit bond will fire them up the football pyramid. The next fixture takes place on Sunday 8th November against Worthing WFC in the League Cup. The club has kindly offered forum+ complimentary tickets to Sunday’s exciting fixture. Workshop on Welcoming & Accessible Places in Islington
forum+ and Islington Council invite the LGBT+ community to a workshop at St Luke’s Community Centre, where we’ll join together to inform new planning guidance for accessible places across Islington. Engage in lively discussion, challenge misconceptions and explore diverse perspectives as we share our views on what makes welcoming parks, streets and buildings. Pre-registration is essential and participants will receive a £20 voucher as thanks for their important contributions. forum+ International Film Club
forum+ is very excited to announce the return of the forum+ International Film Club! Season 7 of our Lesflicks award nominated film club will launch on Thursday 26th November with a discussion on Monsoon. The 2019 deeply felt drama, directed by Cambodian-British film-maker Hong Khaou, tells the story of Kit a British Vietnamese man returning to the old country to make sense of his family history.
