forum+ wouldn’t be the same without our wonderful team of volunteers, who make a vital contribution to the local LGBT community and are an inspiration to us! Our volunteers give their time on a regular basis, volunteer at a one-off event, or help us deliver our social support groups online and in-person across our local area.
While our volunteers support forum+ in a variety of different ways the main role at our charity is forum+ Community Engagement & Outreach Volunteer. This is an enjoyable and interesting role as we engage and support the community across Camden and Islington. Whether sharing information about our services at a local festival or assisting in the kitchen at our fun cookery class Cooking With Pride, a fulfilling and rewarding experience awaits.
Summer is an especially exciting time to join with forum+ as we interact outdoors and celebrate Pride. All of our social support groups are designed to be safe and welcoming spaces that promote wellbeing, reduce loneliness and celebrate culture. Participants are not only enjoying themselves but also building confidence, connections and acquiring skills.
Please note that we don’t offer roles with regular shift patterns and our volunteer team don’t work directly with clients or support our hate crime services. If you are interested in advice and advocacy work with clients we would be happy to signpost you and make a recommendation to LGBT charities and organisations that engage volunteers in this way.
